Synesthesia is a perceptual condition of mixed sensations: a stimulus in one sensory modality (e.g, hearing) involuntarily elicits a sensation/experience in another modality (e.g. vision). Yet a number of famous composers appear to have been synesthetes(...), some research suggests musical synesthesia is more likely to come with perfect pitch. I’ve always been really moved by melancholic, trippy and sexy beats. This is the kind of atmosphere I love to recreate through my work, beats with a meaning, beats that the listener can both hear and “see”: this is the very principle of synesthesia, mixing 2 perceptual sensations together, hearing+vision in my case… I make music for myself, It is a true need, but I hope those who’ll listen to my stuff will see things in their mind, just like I do, create their own inner video clip...and if they do, well, my mission is accomplished.
