Subtle textures and richly elegant melodies quiver over crystal clear drums in a sound that could be poetically described as an afternoon sonic rugby game between Boards of Canada, Aphex Twin and Four Tet, with DJ Shadow shouting encouragement from the sidelines. In addition to Mokhov's artistry are three remixes from the Neferiu Records roster. Each one takes up new ground with Mokhov's source material, bending the sound into a stylistic evolution of its former self. Just as soon as Mantrakid's dizzy loops and layers finishes twisting your mind, The Sundry Light metaphorically parts the clouds to rain down a mesmerizing downtempo joyride. To wrap it all up, Nato (of Touch & Nato) smashes drum pads & tweaks the distortion ironically large on his hip hop interpretation of Tides of Clarity.
